In the history of Blues there is nothing as raw and exciting as a song by John Lee Hooker. His career spanned over 50 years and remarkably, not only did his popularity never wane, he became more popular through the decades as his music was passed from generation-to-generation. He was the inspiration for so many of the great artists of the 60's, 70's and 80's and he can rightly be described as the personification of Blues.
