On Tuesday, December 4th 1956 Four young singers, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, all at the start of their careers, met at the Sun Studio in Memphis..... the rest is history. Carl Perkins had turned up to record a song, Jerry Lee Lewis was asked to play piano on the recording, Elvis & Johnny Cash just happened to be visiting the studio. As the four of them chatted and waited around they began an impromtu jamming session which thankfully the studio engineer, Jack Clement, decided to record.
